I’m a teacher with a passion for teaching Brazilian Portuguese to foreigners. I’m Brazilian, from the city of Belo Horizonte in Minas Gerais. A state famous for being the home of pão de queijo or “cheese bread”!
I began my studies with an emphasis on my language, Brazilian Portuguese, in the faculty of language and literature at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. I graduated with a degree in Portuguese and went on to do a master’s in linguistics at the same university.
In 2019, I created Speak Brazil, an online school teaching Brazilian Portuguese as a foreign language. Since then, I’ve helped many students become fluent in Portuguese.
I’m a teacher of European Portuguese as a foreign or second language. I’m Portuguese, from Porto, but I’ve been living in Lisbon for five years.
I did my master’s degree in Portuguese as a second/foreign language in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Porto.
After graduating, I lived and worked in East Timor where I taught Portuguese at the National University. I currently work as a Portuguese teacher at a German college and teach Erasmus classes at the Lisbon School of Education (ESELx).
I collaborated with Bárbara Sousa on the creation of the material for the course Descubra as diferenças: português do Brasil e de Portugal.
