Our course aims to help you prepare for the CELPE-Bras exam. We will help you understand the exam and the assessment criteria as well as develop strategies to perform at your best throughout the exam. Let’s immerse in the exam preparation process together, with lessons with a variety of activities covering, above all, oral production, writing, and cultural knowledge. You will be accompanied by teachers who will help you and give you their feedback and guidance in order to improve your potential for the test!

Since CELPE-Bras is an exam for levels B1, B2, C1 and C2, our course is aimed at students who are at one of these levels and want to prepare for the exam with the support of professional teachers.

What is the Celpe-Bras exam?

Celpe-Bras (Certificado de Proficiência em Língua Portuguesa para Estrangeiros) is the Brazilian official exam to certify proficiency in Portuguese as a foreign language. It offers the following levels of proficiency in the language: Intermediate, Upper Intermediate, Advanced and Upper Advanced.

What classification can I get?

The Celpe-Bras exam is the only Brazilian certificate of proficiency in Portuguese as a foreign language officially recognised by Brazilian government authorities. The Celpe-Bras certificate is accepted in universities, in Brazilian companies and is one of the documents required to apply for Naturalisation.

How does the exam work?

1 – Written Part

With a duration of 3 hours, the exam is composed of two assessment tasks for listening comprehension and written production plus two other assessment tasks for reading and writing, i.e. based on listening comprehension and interpretation you will produce 4 texts on different topics.

2 – Oral Part

With a duration of 20 minutes, the oral part is a communicative interaction based on diversified themes.

What more?

Proficiency is assessed based on the participant’s performance in both parts. This includes practices of Portuguese language use that may occur in the daily life of a foreigner who intends to interact in Portuguese.

The exam will take place in 2021 on the 7th, 8th and 9th of December.
